The French were quite formidable in the mercenary sector before, possibly because of the existence of the French Foreign Legion. There were several French names among those legendary mercenaries, and among those who could be called Kings of Mercenaries, the French were the most numerous.

Of course, that was back in the 70s and 80s of the last century. Now, the French are not up to par.

Why mention the French now? The reason is simple. While Gao Yi was recruiting everywhere, Marina also made a phone call.

"There’s a mercenary group, all formed by ex-members of the French Foreign Legion. They had always been with the Three-leaf Jungle Company in the United States. They just recently ended their operations in Iraq and withdrew to start their own firm called Tactical Support, consisting of twelve members, exactly one squad. If you want to use them, you can contact them now."

Just when he needed personnel, there happened to be an ex-Foreign Legion squad, which had worked for a US PMC and was now starting their entrepreneurial venture. They could be just right for Gao Yi’s needs.

But why did it feel so coincidental?

Though it seemed unlikely that Marina would set him up, the timing of Tactical Support Company’s arrival was too perfect, and Gao Yi didn’t want to use it.

Gao Yi couldn’t help but say on the phone, "Is this company reliable? Isn’t their appearance a bit too coincidental?"

Marina softly said, "Their background is quite clear. Their leader, who is also the CEO, always worked with Three-leaf Jungle. They are combat-effective. If you need manpower, you can use them. I can assure you they have no ties with the CIA, do you understand what I mean?"
