Song Xiaodong and Miao Xuanxuan were walking in the courtyard when they saw Shui Qingyue sitting by the pond.
"You should go check on Qingyue," Miao Xuanxuan whispered. "These past couple of days, I’ve noticed she seems troubled, and her mood has been quite low."

Shui Qingyue hesitated before responding, "My... my mother hasn’t been feeling well lately, and I wanted to visit her, but I am worried that my return might upset everyone, so I’ve been feeling a bit down."
"I see... In that case, I’ll accompany you back. I’ll also clear the air with your family so that your parents can hold their heads high. That should ease your worries too."

Shui Qingyue’s face turned faintly red, and she bowed her head, fiddling with her fingers. "Will you blame me?" she asked.
