"Brother-in-law, do you have a certain thought?" Miao Xuanxuan lifted her head a little and asked Song Xiaodong with a grin.

"What thought?" Song Xiaodong inquired.

Miao Xuanxuan winked at Song Xiaodong and said, "Don’t you wish you were the one sleeping in the middle right now?"

Miao Qingqing turned her head to look at Song Xiaodong, her eyes obviously filled with a killing aura.

Song Xiaodong immediately coughed and said, "I wouldn’t dare, I wouldn’t dare. How could I harbor such thoughts?"

Miao Qingqing immediately glared and said, "So you wouldn’t dare, but you still wish for it?"

Song Xiaodong felt a pinch on his abdomen and hastily said, "I misspoke, I didn’t mean I wouldn’t dare—I meant I hadn’t thought about it at all."

Miao Xuanxuan laughed and said, "Brother-in-law, that’s so against your heart, isn’t it? Today, when you were with the little aunts, you looked quite content, and now you say you hadn’t thought about it?"

Miao Qingqing pinched him harder, which made Song Xiaodong offer a bitter smile. Miao Xuanxuan was such a little devil, clearly intent on framing him. He could only offer a wry smile and say, "My dear niece, please spare me. I admit, when you two are by my side, I indeed feel quite fantastic, but as a man, I don’t think there’s one who wouldn’t feel that way. The real deal, however, is not about what one thinks, but whether one can control their emotions—that’s what’s most important, right?"

Miao Xuanxuan immediately giggled and said, "Brother-in-law, I quite like hearing those words. That’s much more honest."

Song Xiaodong said with a pained expression, "You little niece, you ask for my help and then turn around and torment me. I am truly bewildered by you."

Miao Xuanxuan burst into joyful laughter, the spitting image of a naughty younger sister teasing her brother-in-law.
