Chapter 568 - 569: Except for You!
"Song Xiaodong, this is Qiao Yutong. Your sister, Song Xiaoru, has had an accident, and she is being taken to the hospital now."
Upon receiving this call from Qiao Yutong, Song Xiaodong felt as if he had been struck by lightning, but he quickly forced himself to calm down and said, "How is she? Is she still alive?"
Qiao Yutong immediately replied, "She’s alive. She fell from the sixth floor, but luckily, a tree broke her fall. From what we can see, she should still be savable."
Song Xiaodong said, "Good, take her to City First Hospital. I’ll be there right away."
Ten minutes later, Song Xiaodong had arrived at the hospital, just as the ambulance did. Seeing his sister, Song Xiaoru, being pushed out, he felt a surge of blood rush to his brain, nearly exploding with rage.
Song Xiaoru’s clothes were cut and tattered, her entire body stained red with blood. Xiaodong would be distressed even if Xiaoru suffered a minor injury. Seeing her in such a terrible state was unbearable for him.
"Who did this?" Song Xiaodong asked while running alongside the nurse toward the emergency room, addressing Qiao Yutong who followed.
Qiao Yutong responded, "We’re not sure yet. Our people are investigating the scene, and we should have the results soon. I notified you first when I found out it was your sister."
"Alright, I owe you one for this. I need to go save my sister now," Song Xiaodong said succinctly, rushing straight into the emergency room.
By now, there wasn’t a doctor in City First Hospital who didn’t know of Song Xiaodong, so when they saw that he wanted to be directly involved in the rescue, no one objected. At his request, only two junior nurses remained, and the rest were asked to leave.
Song Xiaodong first examined Song Xiaoru’s injuries: brain hemorrhage, internal organ damage, and countless fractures and external injuries. Surviving a fall from the sixth floor was already a miracle. For any doctor, these were acceptable injuries.
But this was Song Xiaodong’s own sister. He felt as if his heart was being fried in oil.
