Chapter 524 - 525 Candlelight Dinner
The meeting isn’t until tomorrow, and Song Xiaoru had nothing to do tonight. After Song Xiaodong left, she organized her things, pulled out her laptop, and started preparing for tomorrow’s meeting while also handling some work.
Once she got busy, two hours flew by and the room had grown dark.
Just as Song Xiaoru was about to turn on the light, a knock came at the door. She went to the doorway and asked, "Who is it?"
"Sis, it’s me." Song Xiaodong’s voice came from outside.
"Ah!" Song Xiaoru exclaimed excitedly and quickly went over to open the door, only to see Song Xiaodong standing there with his hands behind his back, asking, "Why are you back so soon?"
"Just grabbing something, of course I was quick. Sis, this is for you." As Song Xiaodong spoke, he brought his hands to the front and presented a large bunch of pink lilies.
"Ah!" Song Xiaoru stood still in surprise, unable to move, her eyes fixed on the large bunch of lilies.
"What’s the matter? Don’t you like them?" Song Xiaodong felt somewhat embarrassed by Song Xiaoru’s reaction and said, "I remember lilies are your favorite flowers."
Suddenly, Song Xiaoru reached out, took the lilies from Song Xiaodong’s hands, and brought them to her nose to sniff, saying with a smile full of joy, "They smell wonderful."
"You gave me a scare. I thought I got the wrong ones for a second." Song Xiaodong came in and closed the door, putting his arm around Song Xiaoru’s shoulder as they walked further into the room.
"You little stinker, why are you giving me flowers?" Song Xiaoru turned to look at Song Xiaodong.
Song Xiaodong gave a slight smile and said, "There’s a flower shop right by the hotel entrance. I passed by it and on a whim, decided to buy my sister some flowers."
