Chapter 474 - 475: A Short Parting is Better than a New Marriage
Song Xiaodong’s cell phone, a device meant for gaming, was a gift from Miao Xuanxuan, but he was more accustomed to using his old phone, which had additional features. Now, with it broken by Su Yawei, he indeed felt a twinge of sorrow.
Glancing at the time, it was nearly the end of the workday, so Song Xiaodong didn’t head back to the office and instead went straight home.
As he changed into slippers, he noticed the Miao sisters’ shoes in the shoe cabinet; they had apparently already returned home without notifying him. But then he remembered his broken phone and assumed they had possibly tried to inform him to no avail.
Yet the living room was unusually quiet, not a sign of the Miao sisters, nor even Xiao Yingying—likely they were upstairs or had gone out together.
Entering the bedroom with the intention to change clothes, Song Xiaodong found someone lying on the bed—it was Miao Qingqing. She was covered with a thin quilt up to her waist, her upper body clad in a tiny nightgown.
The nightgown had twisted around due to her turning in her sleep, revealing an expanse of enticing skin at her chest that was a tantalizing sight.
Although he had been with Miao Qingqing for quite some time now, and they had shared a bed every night, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Confronted with such an alluring sleeping posture, Song Xiaodong felt a surge of desire. Shedding his outer clothes and left in just his briefs, he leaped onto the bed.
Sliding his arm directly under her neck and pulling back, Song Xiaodong brought her into his embrace.
Miao Qingqing cuddled up like a docile kitten, making only a faint sound before snuggling into Song Xiaodong’s chest, seemingly exhausted and not fully awake.
Seeing her like this, Song Xiaodong couldn’t bring himself to wake her abruptly. Holding her, his hands gently caressed her back.
