Li Sijie woke up two hours later and was a bit confused to find that she was still lying on the couch with both Song Xiaodong and Miao Xuanxuan present.
Miao Xuanxuan immediately said, "President Li, you’re awake! I was worried this guy might play some tricks on you, so I stayed here to keep an eye on him."
Feeling a pang of unease, Li Sijie glanced at Song Xiaodong, saw his calm face, flipped her hair slightly to disguise her reaction, and then said, "Song Xiaodong isn’t that kind of person."

Li Sijie thought to herself, "He had already lost control that day, and it would be too late for you to watch him now."
Yet, she smiled and said, "Xuanxuan, are you protecting me from him, or do you want to keep an eye on him for yourself?"
"Me, watch him? Why would I do that? He’s not my boyfriend." As she spoke, she grimaced again at Song Xiaodong.
Li Sijie chuckled lightly, "It feels like you two are like a pair of happy foes, always bickering. Isn’t there a charm to it?"
Miao Xuanxuan’s pout intensified as she said, "President Li, please don’t randomly match-make. I couldn’t possibly be with him. This guy is so cunning. I have to be very cautious around him, afraid that he might take advantage if I let my guard down."
"It sounds like he has taken advantage of you quite a bit," Li Sijie teased with a laugh.
