The following day,

I reached the Council Elder’s office early. Today, I was going to enter the main post. The staff working there were looking at me with surprise.

They didn’t expect me to come, but I was here. They didn’t know that I was going to leave the Sub-Post today.

As time passed, people came and went. They were surprised upon seeing me, but none of them bothered me. They were afraid.

It didn’t take long for someone to walk outside the building. The person was none other than Elder Rowena.

A flicker of surprise appeared in my eyes. I didn’t expect her to come out by herself.

"Are you surprised?" Rowena asked.

"Yes," I replied.

Then a staff member arrived driving a car. We entered the car. The staff member seemed to know the instructions beforehand; he started driving right away.

Swoosh!

The car departed from the place. Inside the cab, I was quiet. Elder Rowena was quiet as well. The journey continued until the cab reached the border of the Tier-3 Sub-Post.

When the cab came to a halt, Rowena stepped out of the car. Seeing that, I stepped outside.

"Follow me," she said before starting to walk forward.

Seeing that, I began to follow behind her. As I walked, my gaze fell on the vast land ahead.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. How could I forget this place? It was my second time here. Last time, the Red Mark Warrior Silas had brought me here.

He had asked me to explore the place ahead. Fortunately, the ancient spirit saved me that time.

"We are here again!" the ancient spirit said.

"Yeah, it’s the same place," I replied in my mind.

"It appears you are going to enter the barrier this time. I believe your physique can withstand the special energy." After saying that, the ancient spirit went silent.

I kept quiet and continued to follow her. There was a facility ahead; it might be the entrance to the barrier.

We reached the place. Before going inside the building, she stopped and turned towards me.

"In order to reach the main post, we have to walk through the barrier. The barrier has a strong field of special energy," Rowena said.

"Even though you have reached the Half-Step Red Mark Stage, you still have to be careful. Only a handful of Half-Step Red Mark Warriors were able to pass through the barrier."

"And they all became Red Mark Warriors after going inside the main post. Yet you are different. You have only reached the Half-Step Red Mark Rank recently," Rowena added.

Hearing that, I nodded to her. But I was absolutely confident. My physique was many times stronger than that of ordinary Red Mark Warriors.

My foundation was simply deeper, and the limit of my physique was higher.

Rowena raised her eyebrows. She didn’t know whether the young man had realized it or not. She then walked into the facility.

I followed behind her. Inside, I saw there were people waiting for us. They immediately greeted Elder Rowena, and their gazes turned towards me next.

Their gazes were filled with awe and surprise. They were seeing Zack Lockwood for the first time in person. They had heard a lot about him on the news.

Seeing that the staff were looking at me, I nodded my head in response.

"Take him to the trial room," Elder Rowena said to the head of the facility, a female elder who appeared to be a middle-aged woman.

"Zack Lockwood, come with me," the female elder said.

Hearing that, I began to follow her. There was a large glass room nearby. The elder told me to enter the room.

She didn’t say what this was about, but I followed her order. The door opened automatically, and I walked inside.

The next second, the door shut automatically. Inside the glass room, I was all alone. The female elder standing outside went into an opposite room.

Elder Rowena and the other staff came before the glass room as well. They could clearly see me through the glass window.

The next second, bright lights turned on inside the room.

Boom!

Following that, dense energy appeared inside the room all of a sudden. It was flowing from the inlet. I immediately knew it was the special energy.

I didn’t expect the concentration of the special energy to be this high. I mentioned this to the ancient spirit.

"I have told you before. There is a difference between the Red Mark Warriors and those below them. It’s the special energy," the ancient spirit said.

"Yes," I replied in my mind.

I felt the dense special energy entering my body. The pressure didn’t harm me at all. I could stand there without any problem.

As time passed, the room filled with more special energy. But my body quickly adapted to it. The earlier unfamiliar feeling was swept away.

Now I started feeling like I was standing in a normal environment.

"They are testing you," the ancient spirit said.

"And they are going to be surprised," I replied in my mind.

Outside

Elder Rowena and the others were watching. They were quite shocked; the staff, especially, were dumbfounded. They knew that a Half-Step Red Mark Warrior could not handle the pressure inside the room.

The special energy should have hurt his body. But here they were seeing something completely different. Zack Lockwood was standing just fine without any problem.

It showed how strong Zack Lockwood really was.

Elder Rowena was not surprised at all. In her opinion, the young man had already taken down elite creatures while being a Purple Mark Warrior.

The elite creatures had failed to injure him. Now that he was at the Half-Step Red Mark Stage, his Physique must have undergone a transformation under the special energy.

Even the female head inside the console room was shocked. She could tell that Zack Lockwood could survive in the main post without any problem.

Buzz!

She then turned off the device. The special energy began to recede. It didn’t take long for all the energy to be gone.

The room door opened, and I walked out.
