Uproar!

The confession of the oval-shaped creature caused an uproar in the meeting. The weird-shaped and winged-shaped creatures were part of the plan, but they were headed by the oval-shaped creature.

One after another, the members voiced their opinions. They were all scared now. The powerhouses could wipe them out.

They had to report the matter to the higher-ups ASAP.

The weird-shaped and winged-shaped creatures were scared. They looked toward the oval-shaped creature.

The oval-shaped creature said, "We are in this together. If anyone blames us and tries to backstab us, then I will reveal each one of your past activities to the higher-ups. I’m sure they would like it."

Gasp!

Hearing that, the members were stunned. They soon quieted down. Everyone had done something that would invite the wrath of the higher-ups.

Seeing that everyone calmed down, the oval-shaped creature was happy. The weird-shaped creature and winged-shaped creature sighed in relief.

They were sure that the oval-shaped creature had thought it through from the beginning.

The oval-shaped creature then said, "Listen, I admit it: it was a mistake. But if I had submitted the previous report, there was a chance for everyone to face the wrath of the powerhouses.

"So I tried to change the outcome, but I was wrong. The result was the same. Now we can submit this second report as the new report. I hope everyone says the same," it added.

Quiet!

There was silence in the room. The members really had no other say. They could only agree with it. Some started to understand its point of view.

Though the three of them were in command, it was everyone’s responsibility as well. If their powerhouses decided to take their anger out on them, everyone would be affected.

Finally, everyone agreed in the meeting. When the meeting dispersed, the members exited the meeting room one by one.

Only the three of them were left in the meeting room. The oval-shaped creature sighed in relief. It knew the members would agree, but it could not use the same threat again and again.

It was the first and last time. Next, its attention shifted to the young human warrior. It was hard to get intelligence on him. The human side had a Quasi-God in place.

Each of their attempts ended in failure.

"What are you going to do?" the winged-shaped creature asked.

The weird-shaped creature paid attention to the conversation.

"I’m going to submit the report to the higher-ups. Let them decide. They can get the information," the oval-shaped creature said.

Puppet Hall

After dealing with 20 puppets, I figured out the correct use of the shock force. Hereafter, I wouldn’t have to waste shock force power in the fight.

But I didn’t change the element. I continued to use the shock force to deal with the puppets. One after another, the puppets went down.

Without my realizing it, my understanding of the shock force power was improving.

The ancient spirit was paying attention to the matter. Seeing that the shock force inheritance power was improving, the ancient spirit appreciated Zack Lockwood.

"The young man has found a way to improve the shock force power outside the essence chamber," the ancient spirit thought.

A few hours later,

I walked out of the puppet hall. I defeated the 40 puppets and cleared the hard mode. My understanding of the shock force power had increased.

Even the smallest improvement had increased the power of the shock force. Still, I didn’t leave immediately.

I began to roam around the training camp. It was going to be my first time exploring the place. I came to the gravity hall.

I walked into the place. My gaze swept across the chambers. Each of the gravity chambers was occupied.

Seeing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise. It appeared the gravity hall was more popular than the puppet hall.

No wonder there were fewer people in the hallways. I turned to walk away.

Creak!

The next second, I heard the sound of a door opening.

I turned around and saw someone walking out from the chamber. Seeing that, I decided to give it a try.

I walked up to the chamber. I saw the device. It had the same modes as the puppet hall. I used the card to scan my name.

My name appeared on the display. Next, I selected the hard mode directly before going inside the gravity chamber.

The door behind me shut automatically. I looked up and saw no ceiling. There was only empty space above.

"What’s going on?" I asked myself.

Boom!

The next second, a terrific pressure appeared out of nowhere and bore down on me. I felt the impact and almost lost my balance.

Then I adjusted my posture and began to withstand the pressure. A mountain of pressure was weighing down on me.

As time passed, I corrected my posture. The pressure brought pain and discomfort.

Fortunately, my physique was equally strong. My spinal bone withstood the pressure without a problem.

Slowly, I could feel the tempering of the bones. The same was experienced by my internal organs.

"Sit cross-legged to experience the changes," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

Hearing that, I sat cross-legged on the ground slowly. I could feel the pull of gravity even more. My internal organs felt the pressure.

I had thought that hard mode was going to be easy, but I was wrong. Though I could fight across ranks, I was technically still a Purple Mark Warrior.

It didn’t take long for my dantian to feel the pressure.

"Endure the pain," the ancient spirit’s voice said.

Hearing that, I shifted my attention away from the pain and focused on getting stronger. If I became stronger, then I could save more people.

I could end the battle quickly.

The ancient spirit saw how quickly Zack Lockwood had calmed down. He was not making any grunts anymore.

"This young man..." The ancient spirit was surprised again.

Once again, it could not help but praise the young man. Zack Lockwood was the strongest person in the United City right now.

Only a Quasi-God could put him down. Yet, he was still finding ways to improve.
