Chapter 246: After Meal Request
The meal passed without much issue, and the Jiang family spoke about the base and its current state. I didn’t understand the specifics, but hearing the scope of their current group left me wanting to remain to recruit members for the farm experience.
Since arriving at the Jiang compound, the amount of experience and ZKP had stalled significantly, with only the income from Wang Yin and the mission from today. It wouldn’t be long before my progress ground to a halt.

Beside me, Jiang Siwan tapped her glass, gathering everyone’s attention before leaning closer to my shoulder. "Please enjoy dessert, although it is a luxury, these things would expire if left alone."
As if on cue, several servants came inside with metal trolleys.
With the squeak of wheels, the servants placed the dishes, filling the room with a sweet and tart aroma.
My mouth watered as I eyed the desserts, each one a work of art that made my stomach growl in anticipation.
"John, is everything alright?" Jiang Roulan asked me, glancing between her mother and me with a stern expression.
"Yeah, everything’s fine."
I lied, the middle-aged woman’s hand constantly touched, poked and rubbed places that shouldn’t be during a meal. The bodysuit provided little protection from showing my body’s reaction and felt more like an extension of the skin than clothing.
"If there’s something wrong... you’d better tell me."
