Clarice landed with her leg raised high, bringing her heel down hard on one of the men’s heads. A resounding bang exploded in the room, followed by a dull thud as the man collapsed.
"Told you, before you get to Grey, you have to go through me!" she roared, using his body as leverage to launch herself toward another attacker.
"You’re a beautiful woman. Wouldn’t want you injured, so kindly back down," one of the men said smoothly as five clan members began to surround her.
Clarice’s fists clenched, teeth grinding together as her eyes flared with disgust.
"Weren’t you taught any manners?" she asked, raising a brow while swirling Ki gathered around her arms and especially her fists, making her entire figure seem more dangerous by the second.
"Taught what?" the man asked, feigning innocence.
"To respect a woman, you perv!" Clarice snapped, bolting toward him in a flash.
"Oh, I was taught... but after seeing your beauty, I forgot all my lessons," the man smirked.
His smirk didn’t last long. Clarice’s fist came flying toward his face like a bullet, but at the last second, a glowing shield zipped into place, absorbing the blow with a loud metallic clang!
"Argh!" Clarice groaned, stumbling back as pain rippled through her knuckles. Her hands ached, but her fury only grew stronger.
