"It’s your hair," Clarice said as her eyes narrowed down on Grey’s head. "We can’t answer your question, but make sure it isn’t seen. Don’t let that hat fall off and your hair get revealed—otherwise, you’ll have a tough fight on your hands."

These words kept ringing in Grey’s mind as the trio finally set out from the bungalowed house they were in.

Millie held his hand as they walked side by side, Vanessa on the other end, studying the list in front of her while Grey trailed silently in deep thought.

They stepped out of the house and began their journey, first passing through a sloping mountainous area that lasted several minutes, then entering a small forest that didn’t take more than ten minutes to cross.

During the walk, Millie could be heard whistling cheerful tunes, occasionally tugging on Grey’s hand with playful excitement.

Vanessa stole glances at Grey, noticing how silent and thoughtful he had become.

’What did she mean by my hair?’ he wondered inwardly, his fingers subconsciously brushing over the hat Yami had given him. ’What’s wrong with my hair? Everyone here has different styles—so what’s the big deal about mine?

Is it the color? But Millie has purple hair, and no one’s hiding hers. So what exactly is the problem with mine? Wait, why the hell is my hair even red? Couldn’t it be anything else?’

Grey felt like facepalming himself at that point but held back and just sighed quietly as they continued along the dirt path.

After a few more minutes of gentle pacing, a breathtaking view unfolded before him—one that immediately pulled him out of his spiraling thoughts. A beautiful town stretched out before them, buzzing with life and color.
