Chapter 451: A deactivated portal
Once that Plane World gets discovered, the secret about the Mythic Units’ Creature Dwellings... yeah, there’s no way to keep that under wraps anymore.
Which meant—
This was a wake-up call for Ethan.
He had to break out of Sylvanwood as soon as possible.
He needed to claim more territory, conquer more lands, and bury Sylvanwood deep within the heart of his domain—so far in that even if the borders were breached, no one would be able to reach it. That was the only way to keep the Plane World and the Mythic Units’ Dwellings hidden, to minimize the risk of exposure.
He had to cover his tracks—completely.
"But why us?" Vaelric grumbled, clearly unhappy. "We Storm Dragons are warriors too. We want to fight!"
"Because you guys are the best at reshaping the environment and rewriting Nature’s Edict," Elynn replied coolly, not missing a beat. "That’s the only way to keep the Plane World from being discovered. Sure, the Gold Dragons can do it too, but their magic skills aren’t on your level. So, like it or not, the Storm Dragons are the best fit for this job."
"If it were anything else, maybe we could talk about it."
"But this involves the Plane World’s secret. There’s no room for negotiation. We’re not in a position to take risks—not yet."
"Alright, alright..." Vaelric sighed, finally backing down after hearing Elynn’s reasoning.
