Chapter 349: Arcane Mithril
"What’s the deal? Is an A-rank Arcane Core of the Fortress really that rare?" Ethan asked, curiosity lighting up his eyes.
"Rare? It’s way beyond rare..." Eldrin’s eyes practically sparkled as he rushed to explain. "Even in the Tower faction, an A-rank Arcane Core of the Fortress is considered top-tier. Only a handful of ancient archmages or Crimson Ultimate heroes have access to something like this. For the rest of us? Forget it—we wouldn’t even get to touch one!"
He suddenly paused mid-sentence, then turned to Ethan with a look that was part admiration, part desperation—like a man trying to charm a king.
"My great Lord, please forgive my excitement and boldness, but... but would you allow me to handle this A-rank Arcane Core of the Fortress? I swear—on my life!—if you entrust it to me, I can build a mid-tier Fortress for Emerald Castle!"
"A mid-tier one?" Ethan raised an eyebrow, his gaze sharpening. "What about a high-tier Fortress? I mean, this is an A-rank Arcane Core—we should be able to build something top-level with it, right?"
"A high-tier one?" Eldrin froze, his face twisting into a bitter grimace. "Well... my Lord, with all due respect, I’m not quite there yet. Building a high-tier Fortress requires a massive breadth of knowledge and an insane amount of resources. I’m just not strong enough for that—at least, not yet."
"So how powerful would this mid-tier Fortress be?" Ethan rubbed his chin, thinking it over.
Honestly, if they were still in the middle of that war with the Dungeon army, even a mid-tier Fortress would be a no-brainer. He wouldn’t hesitate for a second.
But now that the Dungeon forces had already been pushed back by Emerald Castle, was there really any urgent need to build one?
And even if they did decide to build it—where would they put it?
Sylvanwood? Somewhere along the coast?
