Chapter 310: Gold Dragon Bloodline
In the world of Glory Lords X, contracts fall into four main types, each divided into three tiers of power and commitment:
High-tier Contract: Soulbind Contract
Mid-tier Contract: Fealty Contract
Low-tier Contract: Mercenary Contract
Outside of recruitment events, most agreements are actually Mercenary Contracts. That’s because once you get into the mid-tier and above, the world’s laws in Glory Lords X start enforcing the contract with serious magical force.
Mercenary Contracts? You can walk away from those anytime.
But a Fealty Contract?
Breaking one of those comes with a price so steep, most people wouldn’t even consider it unless they were completely desperate. Once you sign a Fealty Contract, betrayal isn’t just unlikely—it’s practically impossible. Not because of loyalty, but because the cost of backing out is just too damn high.
That’s why Ethan had assumed Auremax’s loyalty, while not fake, was probably just lip service—maybe a bit of heartfelt respect, but nothing binding. He never expected the dragon to actually go through with it.
But then Auremax offered a Fealty Contract.
That changed everything.
