After a short pause, Cicero turned to Ethan and continued, "Master, this Kirin Creature Dwelling is controlled by the altar beneath our feet."
"If I’m not mistaken, the altar’s function is to channel the power of the Soul Sentinel within the Kirin’s dwelling to keep the Kirin egg barely alive."
"That’s right..."
Thalassa nodded in agreement and addressed Ethan. "My lord, we’ve been using this Kirin Creature Dwelling to preserve the life force of the Kirin egg. Because of that, it’s temporarily lost its recruitment function."
"And the 13-Tier Legendary Unit Kirins we have in the Stellamaris Kingdom? They’ve been with us since the days our ancestors fled after the kingdom fell. They’ve stayed with us ever since..."
"I see." Ethan nodded, finally understanding why, even after ten thousand years, the Stellamaris Kingdom only had a handful of 13-Tier Legendary Kirins. It wasn’t because they were weak—it was because they hadn’t recruited any new ones at all. They’d been using the dwelling solely to protect the egg.
In the world of Glory Lords X, lifespans were long—especially for higher-tier races. For 13-Tier Legendary Units, living thousands or even tens of thousands of years was no big deal. So the fact that the original Kirins were still alive wasn’t all that surprising.
