Chapter 145: One versus four
"Since everyone’s here, shall we begin?" Demon King Faker glanced at Caesar and spoke calmly.
Caesar’s expression shifted slightly before he responded, "We need to wait a little longer."
Faker’s eyes narrowed. "You’re already here. What are we waiting for?"
Caesar exhaled and explained, "For the final match of the Global Battlefield Intercontinental Championship—our Asia vs. North America showdown—I won’t be representing Greater America."
A murmur rippled through the crowd.
The rumors about Greater America switching players at the last minute had been circulating for a while, but most people dismissed them as nonsense. After all, when it came to Greater America, there were really only two names that mattered: Overlord Caesar and Xavian Serpentis.
Anyone else? Not even worth considering.
But now, with both Caesar and Xavian standing right here, if neither of them was competing... then who the hell was? Could it really be that mysterious "Draconic Pact" everyone had been buzzing about online?
No way... right?
A sharp laugh cut through the tension. "Greater America switching players last minute? Caesar, who gave you that authority?" Amaterasu sneered, his voice dripping with mockery.
Caesar’s face darkened. "What are you trying to say, Amaterasu?"
