Phoenix Reborn In One Piece

Chapter 293: Kuina’s Frustration

The Dream Team wasn’t surprised to find themselves being put on a wanted list.

Ever since Akainu became the new Marine Fleet Admiral, they had expected the Marines’ attitude toward their team to change.

"Vice Admiral Garp said Akainu promised that the Marines wouldn’t change their approach toward the East Blue orphanage. That part really caught me off guard," Nami said softly, looking a bit confused.

"He’s supposed to stand for absolute justice, right? But now it feels like what he’s doing doesn’t quite match up with that," Nojiko added, also puzzled.

After all, one reason they were working on building a new Sky Island was because they feared Akainu might go after them without holding back.

"Maybe it’s because his position has changed, so the way he sees things is different now..." Robin said thoughtfully.

Ryuen turned to her and asked, "Let’s put that aside for now. Robin, any news from Aokiji?"

Robin became serious and replied, "Aokiji is indeed looking for someone strong enough to be a Marine Admiral. But... Ryuen, why are we helping him?"

Robin wasn’t the only one confused. The others also found it strange. If they could find someone that powerful, why not keep them for themselves?

"Wait—Ryuen, are you planning to control this new Admiral? Like you did with some of the other Marine officers?" Daisy guessed suddenly.

Everyone’s eyes lit up. So that’s what Ryuen was planning!
