Chapter 270 - 266: This is it
The night was deep, and all was quiet.
The room was brightly lit, and He Fang, holding the white liquor she bought downstairs, tirelessly rubbed it over Qin Guanglin’s body.
Thankfully, the family always kept fever-reducing medicine on hand. After giving him two pills and cooling him down physically, he seemed less uncomfortable, and his tightly furrowed brows had slightly relaxed.
She stayed busy until after 3 a.m., and when He Fang pulled out the thermometer, seeing the temperature at 37.5 degrees Celsius, she breathed a sigh of relief, having marginally managed to keep his fever under control.
She couldn’t sleep well the rest of the night, occasionally getting up to check Qin Guanglin’s forehead temperature with her hand. Thankfully, he didn’t continue to run a fever. As dawn began to break, she roused a groggy Qin Guanglin and dressed him like a child, dragging him downstairs and into the car to go to the hospital.
"I’m fine... just really tired. I’ll be okay after some sleep," Qin Guanglin still stubbornly insisted in the car, with his eyes closed and muttering.
He Fang didn’t engage in conversation, and they arrived at the hospital. Early in the morning, no one was registering, so they were quickly seen at the fever clinic.
Having kept up with his fitness for nearly a year, Qin Guanglin hadn’t even had a common cold, let alone a fever. This sudden high fever had really scared her.
After running around until 8 in the morning and getting all the tests done, He Fang’s complexion finally improved slightly as they left the hospital with the prescribed medication.
