Chapter 61: TIME TO PLAY THE GAME!!
"Sorry, Lukas, I held you here. Inside, they were actually waiting for you, so go inside and make the magic happen." Henry gently placed his fist on Lukas’s chest and then opened the door for him.
Lukas saw inside, and it was a narrow passage that led to the press conference. There were tons of people there in that passage, and everyone looked excited upon seeing Lukas.
"Coach, I am glad you held me back and talked with me," Lukas said while looking at the passage, then looked Henry in the eye and smiled.
" Go, don’t be shocked when the theme music plays in, just own it," Henry said, then gently pushed Lukas inside the passage.
Lukas slowly walked inside the passage full of people. Some came rushing and fixed his already fixed clothes, some combed his hair, and some gave him a seat to sit down.
" Sir, You have to mention Chase Bank four times and Louisville Slugger eight times in a creative way. If you fail next time, our marketing team will provide you with a script. Louisville Slugger is our bat sponsor and has given you all the bats you saw in your possession." A girl with a microphone attached to her head said with a smile.
" No worries, I’ll handle it," Lukas said. He could handle the two words if he wanted to, the task was quite simple.
"Yes, sir, you’ll be up in two minutes. The TV stations have reported 1.5 million people are watching the channel live." The girl also reported on the current situation.
" Thanks, you are really handy," Lukas said. He was not sure if this girl was assigned to tell him that.
" Sir, this is my job. You don’t have to worry." The girl smilingly said , then showed him the 37-second countdown.
" You are from Philly?" Lukas asked, he had to because this kind of help was unexpected but welcome.
