Chapter 196: Capture the Flag(Part 3)
"Damn it, which way do I go? I have no idea how to get back to our starting point, and I doubt wandering around aimlessly is going to be particularly effective. So, then maybe I should try and find members of the other teams and take them out?" Akila muttered to himself, as he wandered around the playing field cautiously.
It had been over twenty minutes since he escaped Colt and Lexia, and he was still completely and utterly lost.
He’d been roaming around at random, hoping to come across someone else or find his way back to his team’s starting point, but he hadn’t encountered anyone so far.
"I’ll only wear myself out if I keep walking around aimlessly. Maybe I’ll be better off laying low somewhere? That could give me the opportunity to get the drop on someone too, so-...," He mused thoughtfully, before trailing off and stiffening as he felt the flow of his Mana come to a halt, right before a spear came shooting out towards him with immense speed, seemingly out of thin air.
He drew out his blades and crossed them in front of himself as fast as he could, bracing himself before a deafening clang rang out as the spear slammed against his blades with a jarring impact.
He then let out a startled yelp as a whip came zipping towards him and struck his left leg, wrapping around his calf before a powerful yank of the whip pulled him off-balance, his back hitting the ground with a thud.
He tensed as the sound of footsteps echoed out, quickly sitting up and unwinding the whip off his leg, before leaping out of the way as a figure leapt towards him, with a pair of dual axes raised high.
Akila leapt out of the way as the axes came swinging down towards him, slamming against the ground as he just barely got out of the way in time, right as another figure shot towards him, closing in and driving a sword towards his chest.
He began to raise his blades up defensively, but he was too slow to react, the blade zipping past his defense and honing in on the left side of his chest, before the barrier teleported him out.
"Nice, that worked out well. His Magic made him one of the biggest threats to us, since he can even phase through your Telekinetic Zone," Remarked Tacitus, stretching his arms up with a sigh of relief.
"Yeah, since Raven can’t venture away from his team’s flag, Akila may well have been the biggest threat to our flag. On another note, that was well-done, you guys, good teamwork," Smiled Aster with a nod of approval.
