Yin Shilan maneuvered the Flying Boat, lost in thought as she reminisced about the encounter with Li Shiming in the morning, as well as the lost Array design draft.
As serene as she was by nature, she had little fondness for social interactions and typically devoted herself to studying Arrays.
Perhaps it was because of the embarrassment she felt in her heart, an uncharacteristic lapse she had never experienced before had been seen by a stranger, which led her to use her privileges to check Li Shiming’s information and commit his name to memory.
Even after completing her tasks, when she passed by the area where they had met in the morning, she thought of Li Shiming once more.
At that moment, the Array on the Flying Boat detected Li Shiming, who was far away on a paper crane, and Yin Shilan, who was connected to the Array, sensed him as well.
"Is this a coincidence?" Yin Shilan saw Li Shiming through the Array and recalled the help he had offered her that morning, a hopeful glint in her eyes.
By this time, after spending most of the day meditating, her mind had already returned to its usual clarity.
She also thought about her own impropriety; Li Shiming had shielded her from heavy rain so her epiphany would remain undisturbed, yet she had left without saying goodbye, which made her feel uneasy.
If they had never met again, it would have been one thing, but fate had brought Li Shiming into her path once more, and she decided to express her apologies for her earlier rudeness.
When Yin Shilan was within visible distance of Li Shiming, he became aware of the approaching Flying Boat.
It wasn’t Li Shiming’s fault for not being more attentive with IBMz15; rather, Yin Shilan’s Flying Boat possessed an Investigation Array with a much greater detection range than what IBMz15 could perceive through Li Shiming’s senses.
Upon noticing the Flying Boat, Li Shiming was initially startled, yet recognizing the vessel from the magnified image provided by IBMz15.
