Chapter 1: So close, yet So Far....
Subject 42 ran across the corridor quickest his feet would carry him. Finally, a chance had presented to leave this hell-hole and he couldn’t wait to get the fuck out of here.
And he would have made it out by now too, if it weren’t for all these morons that inhabited this facility with him.
As 42 moved past another busy lift towards the stairs, he found another one of theosev three-digits there.
He had a wooden rod-like object, likely a leg he tore off of some chair, which he yanked towards him moving foward.
Without breaking his momentum, 42 used the adjacent wall to jump upwards and slammed his knee onto the assailant’s face.
Without a pause 42 pulled out a already bloodied knife and cleanly slit his throat.
"How have these many idiots managed to survived here this long with such skills"
He moved down the stairs, finally reaching the ground floor and bolted towards the exit.
He noticed many inmates running towards the exit similarly, occasionally a few tried to sabotage some other but they were few and far in between.
’I just don’t understand these idiots. Is petty revenge more appealing to you right now than escape for f**k’s sake.’
He quickly waded through the occasional fights and the running inmates.
