Upon hearing Asina’s words, Silf suddenly became anxious. She had been lying on the bed, but now she abruptly sat up and grabbed Asina’s shoulder. "Hey, Asina, you promised to keep it a secret, didn’t you?"
As Silf looked panicked, Asina rubbed her forehead with a bit of helplessness. "Silf, I think it’s better to come clean to your master proactively."
"All that happened was you suddenly got a fiancé, you haven’t done anything to wrong the master, so it’s not your fault and completely unnecessary to worry about."
"Besides, do you think Alfred would give up on you easily?" Asina asked again.
Silf bit her lower lip gently and then shook her head.
Although she felt nothing for Alfred, that man was determined to have her, and he didn’t seem like someone she could easily shake off.
"I feel the same way, so even if we complete our mission one day and leave the Exeter Kingdom, I suspect Alfred will follow us all the way to the Empire."
"By then, you’ll probably have to face the master. Once that happens, you really won’t be able to clear your name; a non-issue will become an issue."
"You might think the master seems to take nothing to heart, but I actually find him to be quite petty."
"So, my advice is, why not take the initiative and come clean to the master now? This could prove your innocence, and if you’re forthcoming with this information, the master will naturally have no further suspicions about you," Asina explained ably.
Silf tilted her little head, thinking that it made quite a bit of sense.
