Chapter 113: Homely. Welcoming **

When someone asks another to walk with them, one would expect some dialogue, and Eloise had indeed planned for it. Alas, her tongue refused to cooperate. She was walking so much ahead of Caius just so he wouldn’t see the nervous look on her face.
Still, Caius could tell. Her face might have been turned away but the rest of her body was jittery enough to betray the expression she was trying to keep away from view. It was also not at all hard to deduce where they were headed once they had walked a bit.
As such, he was not surprised when they stopped at a familiar wall. A wall he had only gotten to learn was actually a door because of Kaya last week.
What did surprise him, however, was when Eloise pulled the door open and revealed that the room behind it was far from what he remembered. It hardly even looked like a storage closet anymore.
There were Mana lamps against the wall to cast a cool glow all over the room. Not too bright and just dim enough to induce a certain mood. There were decorations hung all over not in an attempt at celebration but rather a clear attempt to make it different. Homely. Welcoming.
Flowers bloomed from vines so perfectly wrapped around the shelves that they disguised what they were and made them look just like tools to keep the ornamental decorations in the room up.
And that was what it was now; A room. Complete with what looked like a makeshift bed whose material Caius was not entirely sure about because there was a beautiful cover spread all over it.
’Kaya,’ Caius thought. Many of the additions to this room were made by her. Probably directed by Eloise who likely had more of an eye for placement.
"We had it prepared over the weekend," Eloise said still looking away from Caius to stroke her hand through the flowers,
