Its broken stained-glass windows shimmered in the moonlight, casting twisted mosaics of color over the cracked marble steps. Vines strangled the stone towers, and the towering archway loomed above Charles like the jaws of some forgotten god.
But he didn’t stop.
His boots crunched glass as he stepped into the hollow nave.
Inside, candlelight flickered across the ruined pews and shattered altar. A thick, almost wet scent clung to the air — incense, sweat, and something deeper... something feral. Every instinct in Charles screamed trap, but desire flared in him too — raw, unfiltered, sharper than ever.
