Chapter 92: Weapon Sage
The moment Derek’s final thrust shattered the chains and his spear broke apart, four rogues dashed in from all sides. A fifth dropped from above, aiming straight for the monster’s head.
They didn’t wait. No hesitation.
All five struck at once.
But the monster wasn’t stunned. It reacted faster than any of them expected. Its four arms moved like a blur, swinging, parrying, deflecting each strike with such speed that the air around it spun into small hurricanes.
Clang! Slash! Whirl!
The forest floor shook as the force of their clash echoed through the trees. Barks and wood splinters flew everywhere. The impact from the weapons and the monster fist colliding created sparks and the residue energy chipped away the surrounding tree trunks slowly peeling it layer by layer.
Of the five rogues fighting the monsters one complained. "This is not just a peak gold monster this is more."
"Shut your mouth and attack harder."
The five rogues didn’t stop. They attacked again and again. Ten slashes turned to a hundred. A hundred became a thousand. Their swords moved so fast that sparks flew with every contact, filling the air with light and heat.
"Aahh! My hands. Damn it"
Their blades turned red, glowing from the sheer friction. Burning their hands.
Still, the monster stood tall. It blocked every blow. Sometimes with its arms. Sometimes with its talons. Sometimes just spinning fast enough to break their momentum.
