Mia knew her explanation was weak, even to herself. She sighed and said, "Camila, Kevin did say he loves me, but I turned him down. I only agreed to be friends with him. I admit I have a bit of a crush on him, but that’s all. I have feelings for my husband, so I can’t cheat on him. Don’t worry, I won’t interfere with your relationship with Kevin. I came to talk to you today to clear things up so you wouldn’t misunderstand and think I was doing anything behind your back. I really don’t want to lose a good friend." Hearing Mia’s heartfelt words, Camila felt both touched and guilty. She realized she had misunderstood Mia’s good intentions.
