Chapter 189
Mike continued his story. Zoey unexpectedly let him take her home and even invited him inside. He met Zoey’s mom, Daisy, who asked him a bunch of personal questions and seemed quite satisfied with him.
"You should have seen it. She’s so kind, beautiful, and gentle. She was so enthusiastic she almost made me stay for dinner," Mike said proudly. He felt that gaining Zoey’s mom’s approval was even more surprising than Zoey accepting him.
Kevin was surprised by Mike’s progress. However, he thought Daisy’s hospitality might just be her being polite. What puzzled him was Zoey inviting Mike home. Could Mike’s persistence have really moved Zoey? Was Zoey really such a shallow girl?
Thinking about Daisy in his dream, wearing that seductive outfit and her attractive body, Kevin couldn’t help but fantasize. If Mike really dated Zoey, Daisy would become his future mother-in-law. Mike would face two beautiful, sexy women. Kevin didn’t know whether to envy or pity him.
He wondered if it would be paradise or hell, depending on how Mike viewed it.
"Mia is here," Mike suddenly murmured.
"Come on, it’s morning. What nonsense are you talking about?" Kevin shrugged and shook his head. This guy was insatiable: he had just made progress with Zoey and now he was shifting his attention to Mia.
"No, seriously. Mia Wilson... she’s really here." Mike’s eyes widened in disbelief, pointing behind Kevin and stammering.
Kevin turned around and indeed saw Mia. She was wearing a plaid shirt tucked into tight jeans, with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, revealing her white arms. Her glossy black hair was tied into a ponytail, hanging down her back, and she wore white sneakers.
