Chapter 74
Suddenly, a soft body bumped into me. I frowned, about to scold, but then I heard a timid voice apologizing. "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to..." When I saw those beautiful eyes, I felt like something had struck my heart.
Those were such pure eyes, completely devoid of worldly dirt, confusion, or haze, as if I could see all the beauty of the world in them.
I felt a sense of self-disgust, but it also stirred up evil thoughts in me.
Seeing her books scattered on the ground, I squatted down to help her pick them up. When I was grabbing some books, I kept accidentally brushing against her delicate hand, causing her face to blush. Man, it was super cute.
I opened one of the books and saw a name on its cover—Maya Thorne. I paused for a sec, making sure to remember that name.
I could tell she was an innocent girl, and pushing her would be merely useless. So I had to take it slow, enjoying every moment of the romance.
So, after picking up the books, I gave her a gentle smile, stepped aside politely, and let her pass.
Maya blushed, thanked me shyly, and then quickly ran off.
Feeling bored again, I headed to the library and started reading.
After surviving until the end of school, I waited at the gate for ten minutes, but Nora didn’t show up.
I walked back to the classroom since Nora never made me wait more than five minutes.
