Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 87: Being Followed

Adam follows the store owner inside the gun range and is immediately greeted by loud banging sounds.

A few people are already in the gun range, shooting at targets.

They all seem to be lost in their own world with ear covers and glasses on as they blast at the target one after the other.

Adam observes these people and then looks at their targets. Their targets have bullet holes all over the place, but this is normal, as not everyone is a marksman; it comes with practice.

"Here, hold this," the store owner says, passing a compact-looking handgun to Adam. "This is a Falcon 22R, 9mm, extremely accurate, very low recoil, very beginner-friendly."

Adam nods and grabs the gun. It feels extremely lightweight, but Adam is still unsure about how it feels in his hand.

"Put these on and give it a go," the store owner says, handing over the ear muffs and protection goggles to Adam.

Adam wears them, grabs the gun with both his hands, lines the gun’s front sight and end sight with the target’s head, and shoots.

Adam feels nothing as he shoots the gun. He hears the muffled bang of the gun, it can still be heard, but not loud enough to damage someone’s ear.

Across the gun range, a hole appears right in the middle of the target’s head. ’That was easy,’ Adam thinks. It’s as if he body worked on its own to position his arm in such a way that he would hit what he is looking at.

Pure instinct.

The store owner grabbed the binoculars next to him and was surprised when he saw Adam hit the target bank on the red dot. Even professionals rarely hit the red dot from this distance.
