Chapter 20: Let’s Head Back To My Place
Adam never thought Ruth’s friend circle would be such a chaotic mess with only one decent girl, and that is Cora.
One is a gym roid head, and his girl is a cheap internet model. One is a slut who want to live a vain life but is suppressed by her strict parents. One is a vain man who sees the world through price tags, and his girl is the only one who seems a little bit decent.
There is also Jeffory, who is obsessed with Ruth, even though she doesn’t seem to give him the attention he craves.
This is one hell of a friend group, but Adam doesn’t care. He is here for Ruth, and if he can get some from the side, then why not?
"You should do it, you know. It’s your life. Don’t let your parents decide what you want to do with it. If you continue listening to them and end up in a taxing, mind-numbing job, you will come to despise them in the future," Adam says, looking into Yuri’s eyes.
Hearing his words makes Yuri feel seen. Someone finally said what she has been thinking all the time. Though she loves her parents, she doesn’t want them to dictate her life.
She wants to live her life the way she wants.
Well, to be exact, Adam is not the first one to tell her this, but since she is attracted to Adam, coming from him feels more impactful.
"I think I will, thank you," Yuri says, smiling at Adam.
This time, Ruth notices something; she sees the way Yuri is looking at Adam and trying to cozy up with him.
’This bitch’ Ruth thinks, not angry, just annoyed that Yuri would try to cozy up to Adam when she is right next to him. She suddenly wraps her hands around Adam’s arm tightly, pressing her breast into it.
