All that mattered was becoming closer to one, firming up their mental foundations, pushing free evil +7 to the extremes, making him and Para smarter, sharper, and more cunning. They reinforced their One Percent Darkness with a quick cast of Void Domain, activating their key buffs.
Meanwhile, they identified some functions of the arrow with their Devourer of Secrets and Stories. The power packed into that projectile was staggering and should be avoided.
The nerfed regressor had a power beyond most Master Rankers. The white archer’s claim as a Champion Ranker was undeniable.
It was too late to use Void Waltz however, and if they did, the collateral damage would be catastrophic. The arrow could strike with a force that would annihilate the entire island populace of Frivolous City and the neighboring island cities and towns as well.
Hundreds of thousands to over a million people would die. And that would be a mere-byproduct of what the white archer was trying to do.
Zarian and Para also identified that the arrow could burn most evil-doers up like it was the wrath of the Ascended Heavens forged into a single projectile. The arrow had the power to stop short of killing a target and locking them down for capture, too, so it was truly meant for Zarian.
