Instead, he chose to spectate other matches. He wanted to see more high-level matches to give him a little bit of insight about who he would face in the future.
There were a lot of Immortals participating in the Virtual Arena. Maybe even more now because of the upcoming tournament. Everybody must be polishing their combat skills, and the Virtual Arena was just the right stage for them to do so.
Cedric specifically searched for popular participants. One that had a lot of spectators. He didn’t care about match history or win ratio; he just wanted to see what made these people so popular.
Obviously, he’s aware that one could make money by broadcasting matches online, so he’s a bit wary about people who are too focused on that. But since this was the Immortal League, these people must at least have some decency to minimize the money-making side of things. They’re Immortals, after all; earning bangles shouldn’t be too hard for them.
This is where he discovered that there was an online page specifically reserved for this.
According to what he learned, this was petitioned by one of the avid fans of the Virtual Arena. It started as a passion project and has turned into an official thing.
Through this, Cedric didn’t have to figuratively search for a needle through a haystack. He just needed to pay attention to the names listed at the ranking, and if they’re online and in the middle of a match, Cedric could go and spectate them.
And it just happens that one of the more popular Immortal League Challengers is online and queuing up for a match right now.
