Haines, Lester, and a few men they brought along worked virtually with Yugi. Thanks to Lester’s expertise, they were able to reestablish communication with the Prime Group. And with the Phantom Circle’s equipment, they sent out drones to the other island to assess the situation.
"That—" Haines almost bit his tongue as his eyes dilated, pausing for a second. "I see her."
As soon as those words escaped him, everyone paused and turned to him. Even Wild, who was by the entrance talking to one of his men, stopped.
Wild turned his head to Haines and asked, "Who?"
Slowly, Haines looked up and met his eyes. "Penny."
The moment that name left his mouth, Wild walked back and settled behind Haines. At the same time, Haines transferred the drone feed he was controlling to the other devices for everyone to see.
Haines’s screen appeared for everyone, revealing a truck riding in the middle of the road. Zooming in, Penny was seen in the back of the truck with a few people. All the men saw her face as she seemed to be talking to the others, and they heaved a sigh of relief.
"She’s fine," Lester patted his chest, almost in tears, as he had heard about Penny’s aircraft blowing up.
Although they had already regained communication with Charles, and he told them his daughter seemed fine, they couldn’t truly heave a sigh of relief until they saw her.
"Move close to her," Wild said, knowing the drone was too far for Penny to see.
With that, Wild moved the drone and lowered it, hoping Penny would catch it. After all, the truck was moving fast.
