Chapter 1692: He really can’t get enough of her.

Zoren sat in an intricate metal garden chair in the large clearing of the greenhouse. He leaned back, arching a brow as a bodyguard approached from the side.
The bodyguard quietly bent over and whispered in his ear.
"She’s heading here?" Zoren asked, and the bodyguard nodded. "I see."
Placing his hands on the armrests, Zoren pushed himself up. The bodyguard had just told him that Penny was coming down from the residence and seemed to be heading this way. He wouldn’t just let his wife walk in here and taint her beautiful eyes with the grotesque scene inside.
"Hmm!" A weary grunt echoed, reaching Zoren’s ears. "Hmm!"
A man’s pained grunt overlapped with a low growl and the sickening sound of snapping bones.
Zoren paused and turned toward the sound. There, on the lawn, was Renny, snacking ferociously on a man’s leg. Despite catching sight of a portion of the limb almost torn off, his expression remained unchanged.
"Add another layer over his mouth," he ordered indifferently, looking away as he strode off. "I don’t want my wife to hear even a breath from him."
The bodyguard lowered his head while Zoren walked past. Once Zoren was out of sight, the bodyguard turned to the man being devoured by Renny.
’I thought I wouldn’t see this again,’ he thought, neither shocked nor disturbed. This wasn’t the first — or even the second — time he had witnessed something like this.
But ever since Penny came into their boss’s life, both Zoren and Renny had casually donned their sheep’s clothing and behaved. Neither had acted out, sticking to a strict diet of peace and harmony. Zoren might not bite people’s legs off, but he too had been on a "diet," considering the path he had been on before meeting Penny.
