Chapter 1351: Need to sell myself more
[Back to Prime Group]
Penny shrugged as she tossed her phone back into her drawer, about to get some work done when she suddenly remembered something. Slowly, she looked at the door and sucked her inner cheek.
"Did she stay?" she wondered. There was no way Patricia had remained outside, doing absolutely nothing..
Penny knew Patricia had no shame, with a pride taller than a mountain. She had been in her office for quite some time now—surely enough for Patricia to rethink her future.
"I do think I need an assistant," Penny mumbled. "It’d be nice to have someone tell me when someone’s waiting in my office. The shock value just disappears. And maybe someone to remind me of other things."
Everyone was amazed that Penny managed everything without an assistant, especially considering Prime Group was continuously growing. More growth meant more work. Even with Yugi and Wild in the company, it still wasn’t enough. The two had been so busy that they could no longer assist Penny with certain tasks.
"Still, not her." Penny’s face soured. "That woman... even her job ad had a watermark. Also, how the hell did she think making a poster herself was going to cut it?"
She shivered at the thought, knowing hiring Patricia for such an important position was a bad—no, a terrible idea. Not just because of Patricia’s suspiciously clean portfolio because Patricia’s been jobless her entire life, but because they didn’t even like each other! And if Penny put up a job ad, people would flock to Prime Group to apply as her assistant. There were plenty of better and qualified candidates for the job.
"Meh." Penny shrugged. "I’ll just let her wait. Maybe she’ll leave once she gets bored."
And yet, Penny wondered why people kept barging into her office when she, herself, was so lax.
Even so, she pushed Patricia out of her mind and got back to work. There was still a mountain of things to do, and Penny wanted to finish as much as possible so she could have plenty of time to bother her husband... or Atlas.
