PAMPERED BY MY THREE BROTHERS: THE RETURN OF THE NEGLECTED HEIRESS

Chapter 1170: Prison is bad, you know?

These people were bad people. They victimized the innocent and used them for their own greed. Penny had been roaming around, trying to understand what this place was. She had heard about such syndicates in the past, and she knew just how cruel these people could be.

Others might say they deserved to die.

All their victims might be happy to see them meet their end. However, even though Penny was here because these same people had abducted her brother and Benjamin, she had also taken an oath to save lives. Hence, knowing Mint might be inside the building and the chances of her running into Slater—and probably Benjamin—were high, Penny stayed.

She dragged all of these men out of the way, lining them up on the side. Since she had no medical tools, all she could do was stop the bleeding. She was right that none of these men had been fatally shot. Some of them weren’t even shot at all—they had just been knocked unconscious.

"Hey!" Penny called as she finished wrapping up the last person. "You guys better not run away. Otherwise, you’re dead. My Second Brother is here, and running into him is more deadly. So, if I were you, you’d better pretend you’re not even here."

Given the chaos Hugo had started earlier, Penny knew he had arrived. That was also why she wasn’t surprised to have barely encountered any enemies—they were all too busy fighting him.

"Those guys had no idea where Second Brother just came from. That guy’s been in and out of the most dangerous country in the world like it’s a tourist spot. You guys wouldn’t survive a day in there," she murmured, shaking her head.

That was also the reason Penny was sure this wasn’t Hugo’s doing. Hugo was usually calm and lived a laid-back life where his need for money was always dire. Despite that, he had always been happy with the way he lived. The problem was, that Hugo was different when he was in battle mode.

Not that she was judging his morals—because in Hugo’s eyes, there were only two people in battles: allies and enemies. When faced with enemies, he showed no mercy. If he did, that could cost him his life and the lives of those with him. He’d learned that lesson after losing men because he showed mercy during battle.

Penny remained squatting, cupping her face, her gaze lingering on the few people she had treated. "Prison is bad, you know?" she uttered. "Don’t think that because I treated you so you won’t die, I’m kind. I’ll make sure you stay in prison and don’t get any special treatment."
