"Please don’t kill me, don’t kill me, please..." Patricia muffled her cries as she gripped the steering wheel, their car coming to a halt in a residential area currently under redevelopment. Despite the houses around, they were either abandoned or no one was nearby.
"Please, please..." she begged, tears and snot mixing on her face. "Please, if money is what you want, I can give it to you. Just tell me the amount. My family still has money. Just ask them, and they’ll give you the money. Please don’t hurt me. Please."
The men, however, didn’t care much about her muffled pleading. Instead, they ducked and looked around to check if anyone was nearby. Once they were sure it was safe, the man in the front passenger seat fixed his eyes on Patricia.
"Get out," he ordered, frowning when she continued to beg them without listening. "I said, out, you stupid bitch!"
Patricia whimpered as she jumped, startled, getting hit by the shoulder when the man swung his pistol down toward her side. She raised her trembling hands and turned to look at the man in the front passenger seat.
"Please, don’t kill me..." she muttered helplessly, more terrified because she couldn’t see his face due to the lack of light.
"Get out," he repeated coldly. "Don’t make me repeat myself, Miss. And stop with your whimpering. That’s not going to change anything."
Patricia instinctively pursed her lips, muffling her sobs as she nodded. As instructed, she reached for the door. Her heart pounded so hard it hurt. She didn’t know these men, nor did she know what they wanted.
