Chapter 753: Welcome to the family!
"Where’s Grandma?" Zoren inquired as soon as he reached the front door of the Old Residence, where Butler Hubert was standing. "What happened? Is she alright?"
Butler Hubert nodded profusely. "The Old Madam is alright, but I don’t think she’s going to stay that way for long."
"What does that mean?" asked Zoren, as Butler Hubert urged him to hurry inside.
"William Pierson is here," said Butler Hubert, leaning closer to Zoren’s side. "Young Master, he’s with someone who claims to be... a member of the family."
Deep lines appeared between Zoren’s brows, and part of his mind told him he already knew this person. After all, a name had come up frequently in his recent conversations with Penny. According to his wife, this person was publicly known and had married Nina Reed in her previous life. Penny had also learned from Finn — she told him about that — that Jonathan Pierson was William’s illegitimate son.
"I see." Zoren nodded, letting out a dry laugh as he grasped the situation immediately. "Lead me to them."
"Yes, Young Master." Butler Hubert nodded, but there was something strange in his eyes, which didn’t go unnoticed.
"What else, Butler Hubert?" Zoren asked as Butler Hubert turned away. "Butler Hu."
Butler Hubert pressed his lips tightly, looking back at Zoren. Concern and worry swirled in his eyes, as though he couldn’t bring himself to say what he knew.
"What is it?" Zoren insisted. "Is there something else I need to know?"
