Chapter 706: Is the third young master in trouble?
Atlas didn’t stay long, telling the officers who arrived at the scene that he had other matters to attend to. After filing a police report, he left with the driver.
"Are you okay?" Atlas asked, gazing at the man in the driver’s seat.
The middle-aged driver let out an airy laugh while nodding. "Yes, sir. I was just shocked by what happened, but I’m okay."
"I’m sorry that happened."
"It’s not your fault, sir," the driver said with a subtle smile. "I’m just glad nothing bad happened to us. If that SUV had crashed into us..."
The driver trailed off, stopping abruptly, not wanting to think about what could have happened to him and Atlas. They didn’t need to guess; just the speed of the SUV alone would have cost them their lives. If not for the other car crashing into the SUV, stopping it, and tossing it off the road, that would have been their fate.
"Thank God," the driver heaved a sigh of relief, thanking the heavens for the umpteenth time. "Sir, do you think the police will be able to catch the driver of the SUV?"
"I don’t know." Atlas let out a deep exhale, snapping his gaze at the window. ’I’m more interested in knowing who the person was that saved us.’
His hands balled into fists as he remembered the red, shiny car driving past them and straight into the SUV’s side. Although Atlas didn’t have the leisure to see the crash itself, he could tell it would have damaged the front of the sports car, just like the damage to the SUV’s side.
’Slater...’Atlas drew a deep breath and pulled out his phone to dial Slater’s number again. His hands were still trembling, remembering the life-and-death situation they had just experienced.
’It’s probably just the same car,’he told himself. ’I’m sure Slater wouldn’t do that.’
Just as Atlas tried to convince himself that the car he saw coincidentally looked like Slater’s, he caught sight of his third brother’s billboard. Snapping his eyes up to get a better look at Slater’s charming face, he remembered the sentiments of the owner of the blue car.
