Chapter 581: Night visit
"You... creature. Do you love me?"
For a moment, Butler Jen and Slater looked at Penny incredulously. They didn’t know which one they should be more surprised by: was it her question or how she just referred to Slater?
"Penny!" Slater yelled, making Penny flinch in surprise. "What’s wrong with you?! Not only can you not call me ’Third Brother,’ but you also call me ’Creature’?! What did I do now for you to hate me?!"
’A lot?’was what she wanted to say, but Penny bit her tongue and pursed her lips.
He huffed, planting his hands on his hips. "I can’t believe this! You weren’t in your office today, and now you come here just to tease me! Heartless! Cruel little sister! Butler Jen, talk some sense into her! This is too much, even for me!"
"Miss Penny, is everything alright? Did the Third Master upset you again?" asked Butler Jen, earning a gasp from the dramatic Slater.
"Well." Penny smacked her lips, recalling every mean thing her third brother had said. She shrugged and snapped her eyes at Slater before shrugging again. "Bye."
After saying that, Penny turned her back on them and walked away. Slater scoffed while Butler Jen was rendered speechless.
"Hah! Butler Jen, I think my sister just lost her mind weeks after moving in with her husband!" Slater exclaimed, watching Penny approach the stairs. "Penny! Where are you going?"
But all he received from her was silence. Penny continued up the stairs, not even giving Slater a glance.
