Chapter 76: Where’s my necklace?
Atlas was akin to the perfect child of the Bennet Couple. He was always composed, good in school, and had great looks! There was never a day anyone could remember him being late or rushing because he was late for school.
No matter how much he studied, he would always wake up and continue early in the morning. Even on his way to school, Atlas would read a lesson in advance or just listen to an online class on his earphones.
But today, he dozed off as soon as he sat in their school service!
"Did he not sleep last night?" Slater gasped, almost horrified at the sounds coming from his eldest brother. "Oh god. Is this sound normal?"
"Challenging the star section is surely not a simple task." Hugo sighed as this was also the first time he saw Atlas fall asleep on their way to school. "Let him. He’s tired."
Penny lowered her head until half of her face was covered by the backrest of her seat. "Is he going to be fine?" she felt like Atlas was overworking himself so much. Should she have helped him and spoonfed him just like Slater?
As the three couldn’t take their eyes off of Atlas, Atlas’s snores suddenly stopped. When his brows creased, Penny and Slater quickly turned around and sat down stiffly. Hugo, on the other hand, looked at the window and whistled.
Slowly, Atlas’s eyes cracked open.
"Hm?" Atlas furrowed his brows as he looked around. ’Did I fall asleep?’
He straightened his back and stretched his neck. As he did so, he noticed that the two kids in the first row were not moving an inch while Hugo was whistling quietly. It seemed nothing was amiss, but for some reason, Atlas felt like something was happening while he nodded off.
He didn’t dwell on it and brushed it off.
Atlas got so immersed last night that he slurped every knowledge he could get from the book. Although he read it before, he had a clearer understanding of it now thanks to Professor Singh’s guidance. Moreover, he needed to refresh his mind with the lessons covered. Before he knew it, it was almost morning.
