Chapter 3: Impossible Bond
"Let me through!" Liana cried, pushing against the crowd of wolves blocking her way. Everyone was trying to see what was going on at the Alpha’s house, making it impossible to get through.
After the Alpha’s shocking words about a prophecy, she had been rushed from the training hut toward the main pack house. But somehow, she got separated from the triplets in the chaos. Now everyone was in her way, and she could hear angry voices screaming from inside.
"Move, omega," a tall wolf growled, not even looking at her.
"But the Alpha ordered me to—"
"Yeah, right," someone else laughed. "Why would the Alpha want a muddy little omega?"
Liana felt her face burn. Despite changing clothes, she still had mud in her hair and on her face. She was about to give up when a big hand grabbed her arm.
"She’s with me." Rowan’s calm voice silenced everyone close. The crowd parted quickly.
"Sorry," Liana whispered as he led her through. "I got lost in the crowd."
"It’s not your fault," Rowan said quietly. "Everyone’s curious about what’s happening. News travels fast in the pack."
Inside the Alpha’s house, Rowan led her down a long hallway. Voices echoed from behind a big wooden door—angry voices.
