Katherine watched her children playing together as she kept her hands to herself. She didn’t want to go back to her room because sometimes one’s mind might be a weapon against you from overthinking. Her phone was beside her, yet she forced herself to look away from the screen, not to touch it or read what was happening on the Internet.
She laughed whenever the kids laughed, cheering them as they ran around their room while keeping her hands busy, picking toys on the floor and putting them on the shelves.
Then her phone buzzed, and she gulped, licking her lower lips as she sat on the edge of the bed and picked up her phone.
She saw a new message from Aaron, and she felt her heart in her throat like it wanted to be puked out. Her hands trembled as she breathed in loudly.
She clicked on it and saw the message: "Check the video." The message read with a link attached to it.
"Mom, who’s that?" The kids stopped running around and walked to her before plopping beside her.
Katherine didn’t respond as her heart thumped and clicked on the link, which directed her to a live video, and she felt all the air vanish.
Aaron was in a gray suit, his hands clasped together as the veins of his hands were prominent. Two buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned, which showed the hickey peeking from his neck.
Katherine felt her cheeks flame—she sucked on his skin last night, and she didn’t know he would reveal it like that. She could read some comments of people saying the mysterious woman was so wild.
And she swallowed, watching the video keenly, not missing how Aaron’s muscles were bulging underneath his suit or how his lips pulled up, his brow quirked.
If beautiful is a man, then Aaron was beautiful.
