Amanda stood outside, arms crossed against her chest with the corner of her eyes squinted at the building, glancing at the window. Katherine’s apartment—and her lips curled up in a nasty smirk.
It’s today she would end everything.
If she couldn’t have what she wanted, then Katherine wouldn’t have it either. Whether willingly or not, both of them wouldn’t be happy or have the man. They would both be miserable.
She tapped her index finger on her elbow, which was crossed on her chest while waiting for Katherine to show herself.
Why isn’t she here yet? She was getting anxious and agitated from waiting.
As if Katherine heard her agitation, Katherine walked out of the building, and Amanda straightened, dropping her hands to her sides as her lips drew into a thin line. Blinking her eyes to get into the act, but she couldn’t help feeling her heart thunder in anger and envy.

Katherine was beautiful in the red dress—Amanda always knew Katherine was pretty in her hostess dress at the hotel, yet in this elegant date dress, she was fucking beautiful, and Amanda felt jealousy bob in her throat.
