There was one thing humans should never shrug off or brush off—that’s the gut feeling!
Exactly, the gut feeling is never wrong. Just follow it.
So why gut feeling? Since yesterday, when the nanny called Katherine that the kids weren’t back from school, she brushed it off, telling the nanny maybe Aaron had picked them up from school—the first instance.
When she got home last night and noticed the apartment was silent, she thought maybe the kids and Aaron were still together—second instance. She didn’t know whether she was stupid or foolish. Katherine could only think of one thing: ask Aaron. And Aaron’s response nearly made her crazy. Yes, they weren’t with him. "I told you I’m meeting a friend."
