Chapter 166: A Strong Sense of Happiness (3)
"I’m so tired! I’ll go upstairs and continue sleeping." Mi Jing quickly turned around, trying to sneak away, but no matter how fast she was, Shen Lingxing was faster. She hadn’t even taken a step when he grabbed her by the collar.
"Wait a bit longer before you sleep." Shen Lingxing’s attitude was somewhat firm.
"Fine, I’ll go outside and watch TV."
Unable to escape Shen Lingxing’s clutches, Mi Jing had to temporarily yield. She walked out of the living room, stuffed the DVD into the player, and started watching a Korean drama.
The attraction of Korean dramas mostly lies in the abundance of handsome men and beautiful women. However, Korean dramas are often quite melodramatic, so Mi Jing didn’t watch many of them. For some reason, she suddenly got the urge to rewatch "Full House" from the beginning.
Maybe because she had already seen it before and remembered most of the plot, Mi Jing found it less fresh. Plus, she was keeping an alert eye on Shen Lingxing’s movements, so she wasn’t really paying attention to the cheerful scenes on the TV.
"Shen Lingxing, I don’t want to drink Chinese medicine!" Seeing Shen Lingxing coming over with a steaming teapot, Mi Jing immediately pinched her nose in protest.
"This is not Chinese medicine, it’s calming tea." Shen Lingxing placed the teapot on the table and explained.
"Stop lying to me. You just said it was Chinese medicine!" From childhood, the very smell of Chinese medicine made Mi Jing feel nauseous. So even though she hadn’t yet smelled the "calming tea," she was still pinching her nose, making her voice sound muffled.
"It is Chinese medicine, but it’s also tea. It won’t be bitter." Shen Lingxing patiently continued explaining.
Who are you kidding? Since when is Chinese medicine not bitter?
