Left with no other choice, Yukio excused herself to the bathroom, resolving to take matters into her own hands.
And she remained there for a full hour.
After an hour had passed, Yuki grew increasingly uneasy, glancing worriedly toward the bathroom. Her mother had been in there for far too long. Could something have happened?
"Mother... she’s alright, right?" Yuki asked, her voice filled with concern.
"It’s alright, Aunt Yukio’s health has improved significantly. There must be a reason she’s staying in there. I’ll check on her; you just keep reading." Roland said, but instead of going to the bathroom door, he pulled out his phone and sent a message to Aunt Yukio through a social media app.
Yukino was puzzled as to why Roland would use social media to communicate when they were so close, but she trusted him. Perhaps her mother had some unspoken reason for staying inside. It was best to leave it to him.
Roland sent a vibrating message to the contact labeled "World’s Best Aunt Yukio," attaching several private photos they had taken together in the room that morning, urging her to "take care of herself" with them and come out soon.
Roland: Aunt Yukio, are you still not done? Why not try these photos?
Aunt Yukio: You little rascal... how did you know what I was doing?
Roland: It’s called telepathy between us~. Besides, Yuki is starting to worry about you. Hurry up and come out when you’re finished. You’ve been in there quite a while.
Aunt Yukio: I want to come out too, but... I can’t stop the flow.
