Once a popular and beloved princess, Elvida had lost her status overnight and found herself shackled in chains.
Her core was shattered, rendering her useless and void of mana. Her crime was classified as treason, and a day had already been set for her execution.
But just like Mike, she didn’t want to resign herself to such a cruel fate. Even if she were to die in the end, she wanted to clear her name and die nobly.
Now, Elvida had asked Mike to meet her aunt and tell her she was innocent. If her aunt heard that, she would likely help.
After all, their relationship was like that of a mother and daughter, as Elvida’s mother had passed away too early.
Mike had no choice but to comply. Every Sunday was a day off for the middle guards in the Elves Department, while Saturday was a day off for the higher elves.
He counted on his fingers, it was currently Wednesday.
Five days from now, he would go to the Pesyr House which according to Elvida, was a hour away even if you ride carriage.
In thirty minutes, it would be his two roommates’ shift. As usual, the next team would arrive early.
